This site is a repository of intriguing historical information (NOT current financials) about companies represented by stock certificates. Almost all companies that have , or have had, investors issued stock certificates. They are interesting to collect , display or give because they often contain artwork, are increasingly rare and usually have a fascinating story behind them.

Confederate banks, Civil War bounty bonds, Colt Revolvers, Gold Rush mining, experimental aircraft, the Titanic sinking details, whatever, it’s cool to know.

This site was created to aid the collectors of Scripophily (old financial and operating documents), but it is also used for many other research purposes. If you have suggestions, let us know.
